Lab Girls, a new Harris Center afterschool club designed to help middle school girls stay in love with science, is officially underway.

This club brings women mentors with careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) into the classroom to share their stories and their science with Great Brook School girls. Each week, the Lab Girls meet a different role model and then have a chance to experiment with the tools of her trade. ConVal high school students with an interest in science help the middle school girls navigate the hands-on experiments. To see more pictures of the Lab Girls in action, visit us on Flickr.

Thank you to 100+ Women who Care: Peterborough for providing founding support for this innovative afterschool program!
