Addition to Calendar: Field Guide to Nature of New England on 10/28.

We’re pleased to announce the following new addition to our Calendar of Events: the Harris Center, Toadstool Bookshop, and New Hampshire Audubon will cosponsor a talk by Kenn and Kimberly Kaufman about their new Kaufman Field Guide to Nature of New England on Sunday, October 28 from 2 to 3:30 pm at the Harris Center.

The talk is open to the public, and is free of charge.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Kaufmans’ book will benefit the Harris Center and New Hampshire Audubon.

Also on October 28: Woodlots at Work – A Tour of Harris Center Timber Harvest Sites, Conducted with Wildlife and Regeneration in Mind.  Our tour guides will be consulting foresters Wayne Young and Mike Powers of Baystate Forestry, along with UNH Cooperative Extension Forester Steve Roberge—and from the Harris Center, Meade Cadot, and Jeremy Wilson (our new executive director – with two graduate degrees in Forestry, and a decade of teaching in the University of Maine’s Forestry Program). Meet at 1 pm at the Harris Center. Ends about 4 pm.

For more information about these (or any of our other fantastic fall programs), visit our Calendar or give the Harris Center a call at (603) 525-3394.
